Heat Exchangers

Aras Power Systems designs shell-and-tube, air-cooled and plate heat exchangers to ASME BPVC Section VIII, TEMA and API 660/661/662, optimising thermal and mechanical design together for efficiency and fouling resistance. Units are engineered for vacuum-to-high-pressure service and temperatures from cryogenic to about 600 °C, with materials from carbon steel to duplex, titanium and copper alloys, and delivered from design through fabrication, erection, field testing and after-sales support.

Codes & standards

Aras Power Systems designs heat exchangers to the client-nominated code basis, combining international standards with project-specific operating, safety and documentation requirements.

  • ASME BPVC Sec. VIII
  • TEMA R/C/B
  • API 660 / 661 / 662
  • PED / EN 13445
  • ASME IX

Our Services

Our engineering and supply scope is structured to deliver safe, efficient and project-specific equipment from concept design through fabrication, site support and documentation.

Design compliance

  • International standards: designing heat exchangers in compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, PED and EN requirements.
  • Custom design solutions: tailoring thermal duty, mechanical configuration, nozzle orientation and maintainability to the project.

Thermal and mechanical design

  • Thermal performance: sizing heat-transfer area, pressure drop and fouling margins for the required duty.
  • Mechanical integrity: integrating shell, tubesheet, channel, bundle and support design according to pressure and temperature requirements.

Structural analysis and optimisation

  • FEA verification: validating critical components under pressure, thermal gradients and external loads.
  • Performance optimisation: balancing efficiency, fouling resistance, pressure drop and maintenance access.

Manufacturing and fabrication

  • Shop fabrication: fabricating exchanger components in controlled environments with traceable materials and welding procedures.
  • Materials engineering: selecting carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, titanium or copper alloys based on media compatibility.

Site erection and commissioning

  • On-site assembly: supporting installation, alignment and tie-in of heat-exchanger packages.
  • Field testing: supporting hydrostatic tests, leak checks and commissioning verification.

After-sales and maintenance support

  • Operational support: providing performance review and troubleshooting after start-up.
  • Maintenance strategies: supporting cleaning, inspection and lifecycle planning to sustain rated performance.
